Quick Reference Sheet (QRS)

Meplat Reduction Technology (MRT™) this innovative technology applies controlled pressure along the projectile nose, producing a homogeneous and repeatable bullet profile for the industry’s most consistent Ballistic Coefficients (“BC”). While a high BC is desirable to competitive shooters, shot-to-shot BC consistency is critical when engaging targets to 1,000 yards and beyond.

FB: Flat Base

High BC FB: High Ballistic Coefficient Flat Base

BT: Boat Tail

Long Range BT/Juggernaut: Long Range Boat Tail

VLD: Very Low Drag

Hybrid: Combination Secant & Tangent Ogive

Classic Hunter: Short Nose Hybrid

Elite Hunter: Long Nose Hybrid

OTM: Open Tip Match

Bullet Diameter: Bullet Caliber

OAL: Overall Length

Boat Tail: Length of boat tail, excluding the heal.

Nose Length: From the front of the bearing surface to the bullet tip.

Base to Ogive: From the bullet base to the point on the nose which contacts the riflings at the bore diameter.

Bearing Surface: Length of the full diameter portion of the bullet.

G1 BC: Ballistic Coefficient referenced to the G1 standard.

Recommend Twist Rate: This is the twist that will stabilize the bullet to a 1.5 stability factor (or higher) and will achieve its full performance (BC) potential. This will be located on your barrel.

Primer Size: Being the recommended primer to use with the brass per your reloading manual. This may be a small or large primer with or without magnum qualities.

RDF: Reduced Drag Factor. Per Nosler, these bullets have the highest B.C.’s, smallest meplat, and tighter groups

ELD-Match: Extremely Low Drag - Match bullet which offers a great BC, features the AMP jacket with a new heat shield tip that creates the perfect meplat.

ELD-X: Extremely Low Dra - eXpanding which is an all-range hunting bullet that offers high BCs consistent with controlled expansion. Features the AMP jacket with a new heat shield tip.

AMP Jacket: Advanced Manufacturing Process Jacket. *Hornady Projectiles only.

A-Tip Match: Aluminum tip is precision machined and longer than polymer tips which moves the center of gravity and enhances inflight stability. Aero ballistically advanced tip design results in tighter groups and reduced drag variability. A perfect blend of the ogive, tip length, bearing surface and optimized boattail by caliber.

Bulk Packaging: This is a process where we purchase items on a larger scale (bulk) and breakdown the product down into smaller quantities in our own packaging to offer these items at a reduced rate to our customers.

CX: Copper alloy eXpanding bullet is a monolithic hunting projectiles that offers extended range performance, greater, accuracy, high weight retention, and deep penetration. These projectiles are one-piece copper with the heat shield tip to give the bullet better aerodynamics and lot-to-lot consistency.
